Merriweather's came into being in 1996. We started out with a small line of all natural soaps and creams at local farmers markets. With an enthusiastic response from our customers we have grown to this catalog line. We are committed to making the finest all natural skin care products available at reasonable prices. All of our soaps are hand made and hand cut. Our creams and other skin care products are made in small batches and are not warehoused so we are bringing a fresh product to our customers.
In August of 2000, we opened a small storefront at 39 LaGrange Ave. Poughkeepsie N.Y.( near Vassar College) where we made all of our products and had a small eclectic boutique.
In May of 2006 we opened a second boutique in Rhinebeck, New York. Rhinebeck is a quaint, historical village with great restaurants, galleries and fabulous shopping (Merriweather's of course!) We outgrew our work space in Poughkeepsie and closed that location in March 2009. Today you can find us in the Rhinebeck store, our hours change seasonally, but most of the year we're there 7 days a week.
